Isn't it beautiful? so elegant and classy? I've never seen a more perfect sight in my life...this is my new baby (move over iPod & mobile you've just been replaced)
Ever since I began writing I always imagined myself sitting at a desk with a clunky old fashioned typewriter, churning out page after page of readable text (alright so far I've made a few mistakes...but there's a learning curve with everything)
My first typewriter was a pink Barbie one I received for Christmas back when I didn't know what career path I wanted to take, from memory I use to sit in my room and type away for hours on end (I was that kid...you know the easily occupied one) back when I was 6 or 7 I will admit my writing wasn't flawless and perfect (It's still not flawless now) but I picked up the writing bug.
This typewriter was a gift from my Aunty June who happened to stumble upon this beauty at a car boot sale, she paid £4 for it which in my eyes was a real bargain...only a couple of weeks earlier when we were in London I had mentioned it in passing that I would like a typewriter and she bought me one (thank you Aunty June, I promise to write my bestseller on this machine and honor you when its published...)
I plan on taking it back with me to Liverpool this weekend when I return to university, sorry in advance flatmates for the loud noises coming from my bedroom (I'm from the Facebook generation I know my way around a keyboard and will take some adjustment to a typewriter)
Writing is my passion and hopefully with this machine I can broaden my writing horizon and churn out something eventually readable :) One can only dream!!!
