Last night (Tuesday 23rd July at 9.00pm) saw Luther walking across a bridge with the notorious and entertaining red head Alice after a kind of slow paced season 3 finale...
Luther has been on a long hiatus since its season 2 finale close to three years ago, it was cancelled because at the time the new BBC commissioner did not like these type of shows so ceased production but after he was replaced Luther was reborn and finally we got to see Idris Elba return to our screens in a role no one else could play...
Its not like Idris Elba has been out of work though, he's an amazing actor who has been seen in movies and TV shows both in Britain and Hollywood and is currently starring in the Summer's big robot/alien film 'Pacific Rim'...
However Luther's renewal could be short lived as the BBC are unsure whether to pursue a season 4 or turn it into a 2 hour movie (I'd watch it if it was turned into a movie) originally based off a comic book Luther could have big screen potential if they got the right Director and Screenwriter...
Question of the week: Would you watch 'Luther' the movie if it was made? or would you like to see its TV lifespan increased?
If you have not watched any of the three seasons I recommend you go back and start from season 1 to get up to date with things...also each season has like 4 hour long episodes so it shouldn't take you more than a couple of days to catch up on...
